If you would have just accepted you made a mistake by leaving the club and accepted those consequences the only "traumatizing" experience you would had was not celebrating new years with your friends. Even months later you still seem to not accept the consequences of your actions and are trying deflect blame on others. When authorities need to take these sort of actions charges are going to be filed in most cases. And of course they were going to detain you so they could move the threat into a secured area for proper assessment.
